Sander and I both work for a bank, as has been mentioned elsewhere. Every year ending, the bank organizes a huge party for its employees. This year, the party location was De Fabrique in Maarssen. Theme was: Made by you. In other words: the organization was looking for photographers and performers. Sander and I quickly applied as photographers.
After some thought I also decided to go up for audition as a singer. They were looking for two bank employees, who both were to sing one song with a live band (Edwin Evers band). Utterly cool of course! To my big surprise and joy I was chosen, together with a very sweet (and beautifully singing) male colleague. He got to sing Ik kan het niet alleen (De Dijk) and for me they chose Walking on sunshine (Katrina & The Waves).
